3R ZeroWaste Reports 15–20% Annual Growth, Diverts Nearly 9.63 Lakh Kg of Waste

3R ZeroWaste reports 15–20% annual growth in FY 2025–26, managing nearly 9.63 lakh kg of waste, engaging over 18.5 lakh citizens and avoiding more than 22.83 lakh kg of CO₂ emissions across India.

3R ZeroWaste has reported another year of business growth, maintaining annual growth of 15–20% since its inception in 2020 while expanding its contribution to India's circular economy through waste management, resource recovery and sustainability initiatives.

Operating across India and the United Kingdom through its sister concern, the company helps businesses, institutions and communities convert waste into valuable resources, reduce dependence on landfills and replace virgin and fossil-based resources with recovered materials.

Founded with the vision of reimagining waste management, 3R ZeroWaste was established to challenge the traditional linear economy model of “use-and-dispose” by developing circular solutions that maximise resource recovery and minimise landfill dependence.

The company's growth comes amid India's waste management challenges. The country has an estimated 1.8 billion tonnes of legacy waste accumulated since Independence and generates nearly 80 million tonnes of municipal waste annually. Of this, 50% is collected and only 25% is processed. A significant portion, equivalent to 60 million tons, still ends up in landfills or is openly burned. The volume of waste is projected to grow exponentially to 5 billion tons by 2100.

Against this backdrop, 3R ZeroWaste works with organisations and citizens to adopt sustainable practices by reducing waste, energy consumption and water consumption, while moving towards a circular economy-oriented lifestyle. Its services also aim to improve environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and contribute to national climate goals.

During FY 2025–26, the company responsibly managed 9,63,379 kilograms of waste and diverted it towards resource recovery. Its sustainability and awareness initiatives reached over 18.5 lakh citizens, while its presence expanded to more than 50 cities across India. The company also reported avoiding 22,83,208 kilograms of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions and generating revenue of Rs 1.1 crore, while sustaining year-on-year business growth of 15–20%.

Beyond waste management, 3R ZeroWaste has expanded into a comprehensive sustainability solutions provider. Its services include waste management, ESG consulting and reporting, resource recovery, circular economy advisory and citizen engagement programmes.

A key component of its approach is KarmaVer$e, a digital sustainability platform designed to encourage individuals to incorporate environmental responsibility into their daily activities. The platform uses KarmaCoins, its digital currency, to reward citizens for sustainable practices such as waste segregation, recycling and responsible disposal.

By incentivising participation through KarmaCoins, KarmaVer$e seeks to gamify sustainability, encourage long-term behavioural change, increase citizen participation and strengthen community ownership of environmental initiatives.

The company's integrated approach combines technology, community engagement and ESG-driven business solutions to help organisations meet regulatory requirements, improve sustainability performance and achieve measurable environmental outcomes. As demand for responsible business practices continues to rise globally, 3R ZeroWaste aims to expand scalable solutions that support economic growth alongside environmental stewardship.

Commenting on the company's continued growth, Shiv Rao Challa, Founder of 3R ZeroWaste, said, “At 3R ZeroWaste, we believe waste is not a liability—it is a valuable resource waiting to be recovered. Our consistent growth reflects the increasing commitment of businesses, governments and citizens towards sustainable practices. Every kilogram of waste recovered, every citizen engaged and every tonne of carbon emissions avoided brings us one step closer to a truly circular economy. Sustainability is not a destination; it is a continuous journey of responsibility, innovation and collective action. Together, we can build a cleaner, greener and more resilient future for generations to come.”

As India advances towards its sustainability and climate commitments under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, 3R ZeroWaste continues to position itself within the circular economy movement. Through resource recovery, sustainability consulting, digital engagement and community participation, the company is working to help organisations achieve their ESG goals while creating environmental and social value.
